Handcrafted in Kent by David Haugh
David Haugh provides bespoke kitchen design services to clients throughout Sussex, Surrey and Kent, including Orpington, Hastings, Rye, East Grinstead, Canterbury, Sevenoaks, Edenbridge, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Ashford and the wider Home Counties.
Every kitchen we design and build is created in our own workshop in Tunbridge Wells, giving us close control over quality from first sketch to final fit. What began 25 years ago as a small, one-off bespoke furniture maker has grown into a specialist handmade kitchen business, known for tailoring every project to the client while keeping costs surprisingly reasonable.
We take the time to understand what makes each home and each client different. With a wide colour palette, thoughtful storage solutions, a range of design styles and our own showroom to browse, we can help you plan the kitchen you have always wanted, wherever you are based across our coverage area.
We design and install bespoke kitchens across Kent and Sussex, working closely with homeowners in:

A classic kitchen never goes out of fashion. At David Haugh, our shaker kitchens combine timeless style with expert craftsmanship, painted or natural wood cabinets, refined detailing, and enduring worktops and islands designed for modern living. Handcrafted in our Kent workshop, each one is built to feel as homely as it is durable. Browse a selection of our recent projects below.
A well-placed banquette turns a kitchen from a place you cook in into a place you linger. At David Haugh, we design bespoke seating built into the heart of the kitchen, from curved booths wrapping an island to snug corner nooks for family breakfasts. Handcrafted in our Kent workshop, each piece feels like a natural extension of the cabinetry. Browse a selection of our recent projects below.
With more than 25 years spent manufacturing fitted kitchens and interior furniture across the UK, we offer a broad range of styles suited to almost any property type. Whether you are drawn to a painted kitchen in a bold or muted colour, a traditional handmade wooden kitchen for a farmhouse or country manor, a classic shaker layout, or something more contemporary, our team will shape the design around your needs.
Every project starts with a consultation, where we assess your space, talk through how you use the room day to day, and plan a layout that genuinely works for your lifestyle. From there, each installation is carried out to a high standard, with careful attention to detail and strong craftsmanship right through to the final fit, something reflected consistently in our client testimonials.
We also supply premium, high-end kitchen appliances that add both style and function to your finished space, and where useful, our design plans can incorporate smart appliances too. Custom cabinetry, drawers, doors, worktops and accessories are all part of how we improve storage and make better use of available space.
We take real pride in delivering bespoke kitchens and interiors that reflect how our clients actually live. Our team works closely with you, and with designers where relevant, offering guidance at every stage to make sure the finished scheme suits your taste, your household and your daily routine.
A detailed design plan is central to getting this right. It allows us to refine every element of the kitchen and deliver a result that looks good and holds up over time. We pay close attention to how layout supports everyday workflow, and how careful craftsmanship brings a room together as a whole. Client satisfaction remains our focus throughout, which is why we stay involved from initial concept through to completed installation.
Every project is planned around your budget as well as your design goals. Because bespoke work involves a greater level of detail, and much of it is manufactured in house, it typically takes longer than a standard modular kitchen. That extra time invested tends to pay off too: a well-crafted, bespoke kitchen can add real value to your home, built as it is around the property and the people who live there.
We believe your kitchen should reflect how you live, not just how a kitchen is supposed to look. That is why every David Haugh design begins with listening. We take the time to understand your cooking habits, your family routines and the way you move through your home, before we put a single line on paper.
From that first conversation through to the finishing touches, our designers offer expert guidance at every stage. Whether you are drawn to the warmth of a hand-painted shaker, the clean precision of a handleless design, or something entirely your own, we will help you find the right materials, finishes and layout to bring that vision to life.
