About this space
This kitchen renovation revitalised a self-contained detached home in Robertsbridge, originally purchased as a German kit house. The goal was to modernise the space while retaining the existing porcelain tiled flooring, necessitating a design that worked with the original kitchen layout. The result is a contemporary, light-filled kitchen that embraces the home's unique character and maximises the natural light streaming in from the large sliding glass doors overlooking the garden.

"Our objective was to craft a modern, inviting kitchen that felt both functional and stylish. By working with the existing layout and incorporating premium materials, we managed to achieve a fresh, updated look that aligns with the character of the home while enhancing its natural brightness."
The kitchen features Stoneham’s Pitch handleless cabinetry in ‘French Grey’ for a minimalist feel. 30mm quartz worktops in ‘Nuevo White Eclypse’ add elegance, while a soft blue glass splashback introduces a touch of colour and includes socket cut-outs and a TV point. Miele appliances, a Franke undermount sink, and the customer’s own mixer tap are seamlessly integrated, with Evoline flip sockets adding convenience. The original tiles were kept, guiding the design to fit within the existing footprint.
